Meet Frankie! Frankie Dankie as I call him. Frankie was a street cat that I fed and befriended after a few years. He came up limping one day, so I decided it was officially time to catch him and at least TNR him. We went to the vet and had his leg checked out, he had an abscess from fighting other cats. He had quite a few battle wounds. He claimed my porch and protected his area. While having his leg checked we started his vaccines and FIV/FeLV tested him. Unfortunately he came back as FIV positive. However, per his bloodwork he is healthy otherwise. He was scheduled for neuter. He such a friendly guy, I didn’t really want to put him back out if we didn’t have to anyway.  Now Frankie is fully vetted and has a room to himself. He was very scared of dogs at first, as he had probably been attacked. But he quickly learned they were more scared of him and they were not going to hurt him. Slowly we have acclimated Frankie Dankie to the house with all the other cats. We have had a few hiccups along the way, but I have fully explained to Frankie that he can only be out with everyone if he will be nice. He has been doing really well lately. Even playing with some of the kitties. Others he keeps his distance from.

Frankie deserves what every other cat deserves, to be in a home safe and loved. He loves to watch the birds and critters out the window. He still wants to go outside, but only out in the catio. Though he would love to roam free again, and often waits by the door to try to sneak out. He is a very loving and affectionate kitty. He would be fine as an only cat but can also get long with others with time and slow intros.

Special Needs: FIV positive
