Meet Poppy!

Poppy is a sweet, snuggly, and playful pup searching for her forever home! She’s great with cats, dogs, and kids and currently lives in a foster home with three dogs (XL male, large female, small male), a cat, and two little humans (ages 2 & 4).

This smart, high-energy girl loves to run and play with other dogs but prefers a proper introduction to larger pups, as she can be a little nervous at first. Poppy is potty trained, crate trained, and an expert cuddler—she firmly believes she’s a lap dog!

Poppy would thrive in a home with another playful dog or with active adopters who love to run, hike, or go on adventures. Apartment or condo living wouldn’t be the best fit for her, as she’s likely to bark at all the new noises.

She enjoys car rides and exploring new places on walks, taking in all the exciting smells. While she’s not off-leash trained, she isn’t a runner. Her biggest areas for improvement are leash manners and resisting the temptation of unattended food—but she’s working on both, especially as the weather warms up!

Poppy’s journey hasn’t been easy. She was found by a good Samaritan, covered in fleas and very underweight, alongside her brother. While her brother has already found his home, Poppy is still waiting. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations—ready to meet her forever family!
