Meet Roosevelt! Roosevelt was rescued from a hoarding situation down in Ohio and brought up to Michigan and has been enjoying life in a foster home ever since. Due to his background, Roosevelt is a bit on the timid side and will need someone who will be patient with him. Despite being timid he craves human affection, he just prefers it on his terms. Usually when his foster Mom and Dad are sitting or laying on the couch, he can actually be quite the cuddle bug! He just prefers people when they are not walking straight at him or quick movements make him nervous.
Roosevelt is a petite beagle boy at about 25lbs and is believed to be about 2 years old. Roosevelt has proven to be quite the escape artist, squeezing through his foster families’ picket fence, so he would do best with a solid/privacy fenced yard where he has plenty of room to run and sniff or he will require a daily walk to work out his energy.
Roosevelt is very energetic and playful, so we are hoping to place him with a fur sibling or two that loves to PLAY PLAY PLAY!! While Roosevelt loves playing with the resident dog, he also is very happy entertaining himself with stuffed squeaky toys and chew toys. Roosevelt is pretty much housebroken and he’s crate trained, he actually likes the comfort of his crate especially for sleeping, so a crate in his new home will be a must.
