This handsome belly-rubbing loving, chatty, friendly, somewhat submissive, healthy, happy, grateful fellow is GARFIELD.  Garfield had a “home”, but was left behind to fend for himself when his owners moved away.  (Don’t get me started…). Luckily for Garfield, some kind-hearted neighbors cared for him until House of Hounds was able to rescue him.  He is now enjoying the cozy indoor life and is getting along fine with the cats in his foster home, but would rather do without the dogs.  He would be quite happy to live in a home as an only kitty, or with another friendly, calm cat.   Garfield is estimated to be around 3 years old, and he is slightly underweight at 10 lbs. Garfield needs to gain a little weight, but like his famous namesake- he is up to the challenge(nom,nom).  

Garfield has been to our vet and is Felv/FIV negative, vaccinated, microchipped and will be neutered prior to adoption.  His adoption fee is $75 the adoption application is online at houseofhoundsrescue.com.
