Meet Lola!
Four year old Lola is a high energy Treeing Walker Coonhound.  She was saved from a neglectful pet shop in January 2017. (Remember: adopt, don’t shop) She needs more interaction and exercise than her current family can provide her. Her owners would like to find a loving home for this gal; she loves to be cuddled and petted and knows basic commands.   Lola needs an owner who is dedicated to providing  stimulation and exercise.  She is food motivated and intelligent, so training should not be too difficult.  Lola shows some possessive traits about her food bowl and her bed; she should  go to a home without small children who might not understand that those are off limits, as far as Lola is concerned.  
Lola can be vocal, so should go to a home where neighbors will enjoy it when she “sings the song of her people”.  No apartments for this hound-dog!  Lola has an excellent sniffer, and would love to play scent games for enrichment and go for nice long sniffy walks.  
Lola lives with a older, mellow dog and as long as that pup understands that Lola is the queen, they get along just fine. She does well with smaller dogs; her current owners suggest that she should stick to the little ones, as larger dogs make her unhappy.  They also report that she is great on leash/harness, is crate trained, and potty trained-all super traits!  Lola is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations. We are looking for an adopter that wants to include an energetic, friendly hound in their active lifestyle.  Anyone need a running or hiking partner? Lola would be a great choice!
